October 23, 2022 marked the end of the XI Kazimierska PLENERIADA OF ARTISTIC UNIVERSITIES in Kazimierz Dolny nad Wisłą, organized by the Warsaw-based "STALOWA Gallery Foundation". It was attended by students and teaching staff from the University of Rzeszow, the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk and UJK in Kielce - a total of 24 people. For 11 days at the House of Creative Work of the Catholic University of Lublin (Dom Pracy Twórczej KUL) at 94 Pulawska Street in Kazimierz Dolny, the students could, under the guidance of their professors and assistants, not only create paintings, but also visit the area, get to know each other well and feast together. A regular feature of the program was the evening seminar part, during which the teaching staff gave presentations and activities for all students and invited guests.

Numerous plein-air painting workshops are held throughout Poland. In general, they are intended for artists who have already completed their studies and obtained a relevant university diploma. Plein-air paintings organized by universities are intended for students of a particular art school. In fact, there is no place where students from 3 different universities from all over Poland can meet to get to know each other, exchange experiences and compare their work. The "Kazimierska PLENERIADA OF ART UNIVERSITIES" project is aimed precisely at integrating art communities from different regions of Poland. Staying in the iconic place for painters, which is Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula River, gives young artists the opportunity to freely realize their artistic ideas under the guidance of "their" professor and with the help of "their" assistant.

"I used the name PLENERIADA to indicate the duality of my idea: students are at the plein air and paint pictures, but there is an element of rivalry between students from different universities, because at the end of the plein air, during the jury's picture, the winners of the "PLENERIADA" are selected and the results are announced during the vernissage.
During the evening seminar part, professors Urszula Ślusarczyk, Jacek Balicki and Marek Wrzesiński and their assistants Anna Wolska, Piotr Woroniec and Przemysław Garczyński presented their creative path.

Thanks to the kindness of the management of the National Museum, as every year, we visited with a guide the collection of Polish painting including works of artists creating from the 17th century to modern times and the exhibition of the "Castle" group, and then with another guide we saw the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, as well as the temporary exhibition "Magic of Ancient Egypt". Many thanks to the ladies
During our walk through the Old Town and Krakowskie Przedmieście, we visited the "White" gallery. The invaluable Anna Nawrot not only guided us through the exhibition of paintings by Piotr Jozefowicz, but also gave us extremely valuable information about the origins of the gallery and how it has operated for 37 years!!! The participants were also gifted with publications of the "White" Gallery. At the Center for the Meeting of Cultures, Prof. Mariusz Drzewinski showed us around, among other things, the exhibition prepared by the Institute of Fine Arts as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of art faculties at Maria Curie Sklodowska University in Lublin. This is the most complete display to date of the creative achievements of the artists who make up the Institute's scientific and didactic staff.
