Biography

Emil Bilinski was born in 1978, grew up, studied and gained his first experience in Vienna, Austria. He graduated business school, studied photography and visual communication design at the Graphische Bundes Lehr-und Versuchsanstalt Wien.

Meanwhile, he worked for Friedensreich Hunderwasser - KunstHausWien Museum, where he got his biggest influence in Art, working  with  exihibiting Artists, Painters and Photographers and also presenting his first own Exhibition.

His career  started  as an event, wedding, child and boudoir photographer, where he also learnt an important skill – how to work and collaborate with people. With all his savings he created a stylish and unique portfolio.

In 2002 after a military service he went with his portfolio to magazines and agencies around Europe where he was immediately and willingly accepted by different publishers and creative directors, what changed his world and gave him the opportunity to work in a commercial industry for the first time.

Starting with his first editorials, moving on with Hairdressing competitions and then finally to Hair and Beauty commercials.

Bilinski describes his style as a creation of surrealism in a real world by combining photography with graphics.

Perceiving the human being in an objective way, showing the real esthetics in the bare beauty and creating artificial pictures.

Moreover, he is deep into music, drawing and in 2014 he started directing short films.

In 2016 he created “SHOT IN 120 sec.” a Youtube teaching channel for photographers and video makers.

Currently, working on his books ‘Perception’ and  ‘Addicted to Beauty’.
