"PACK" is a multi-element composition that consists of supernaturally sized mechanical sculptures of wolves. The whole is predominantly made of wood, the silhouettes of the animals are treated sketchily - combined with various materials with visible traces of tools. The dominant black and the duplication of animal forms are the unifying elements. The viewer is forced to enter the space between the sculptures - for a moment he becomes a fragment of the composition, human and animal territories overlap.
My PACK emerges from the darkness, resembling shadows larger than its owner, which pass right by. The supernaturally sized anonymous wolves are full of cracks and predatory texture. Schematic silhouettes of animals are assembled from elements, bolted together like siege machines full of damage, tar streaks, with a form derived only from their function. Traces of saw chains, chisels, unfinished surfaces, the grain pattern of oak beams, natural deformations, cracks in the wood - complete a certain severity of form. The straps encircle the massive bodies of the predators, guarding their integrity, uniting the elements - I think of them more as a certain element of self-control, control over one's own power, rather than the desire for control that humans have or try to have over nature or animals. In the case of "PACK," spaces, territories overlap, interlock. This happens on many levels. In this case, the presence of humans in the space of "PACK" greatly expands the context and the network of interpretation. The meaning of the territories goes beyond the human-animal relationship, where the viewer enters the area occupied by a group of animals. Wolves exhibited in spaces assigned to humans are supposedly an intruder in them, disturbing the harmony.
