Biography

She lives and works in Zamość. Since 1988 he has been teaching fine arts, art, history and Polish language at primary and secondary schools.
Painting is her life and passion. She loves colour, is fascinated by structure, values abstraction and realism. Her favourite techniques are oil and dry pastel. She is very close to the Roztocze landscapes: gorges, rivers, country roads, forest glades, old cottages. Recently, however, her works have more frequently feature portraits, especially female ones.

She has taken part in many open-air painting sessions and exhibitions. The artist's works were also presented in 2011, 2015 and 2016 at exhibitions of works by art teachers. In 2015, an individual exhibition was held in Bautzen, Germany, entitled "Women of the World". In 2018, during 39 Zamość Music Days, paintings by Marta Słomianowska were a decoration during Barbara Rabiega's concert "Behind the Mist", which took place in the Concert Hall of the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra in Zamość. 

1986 - 1988 - Teacher's Study in Zamość, faculty - fine arts.
1990-1995 - studies at the Institute of Artistic Education at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (diploma in graphics in the studio of Prof. Art. Graf. M. Snoch).
2001-2003 - postgraduate studies at the Higher School of Humanities and Economics in Zamość in the field of Polish language and history didactics.

Prizes and awards
In the National "Autumn of the Visual Arts" Competition organized by the Hrubieszów Cultural Centre, in 2010 she won the Hrubieszów Commune Mayor's Award, and in 2008, 2009 and 2015 she received a distinction.
