About the artist
Sylwia Gorak (born 1979)
Was born in Nowa Sarzyna in 1979. She graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Poznań and received her Master of Fine Arts Degree for the diploma project in painting, drawing and performance completed in the studio of Prof. Jarosław Kozłowski. She was a frequent recipient of such scholarships as Prohealvetia in Switzerland, CECArtsLink in New York or Landeshauptstadt Kulturamt in Düsseldorf. She is also a Winner of Young Art Biennale RYBIE OKO 5. A painter and performer, singer, exhibited and gave concerts at Carnegie Hall, New York. The artist has also created the biggest sundial in the world (urban art) in Düsseldorf. She lives and works in Leżajsk.
