I am a contemporary Ukrainian abstract artist and art historian.
In 2000, I graduated from the Kyiv State Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
In 2010, I defended my doctoral thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kharkiv
In 2013 I received the title of Docent at Kherson Pedagogical University.
In 2020 I defended my habilitation thesis "Post-Impressionism in Ukrainian painting of the XX - early XXI century: historical genesis, sources of inspiration, specifics of development" at the Lviv National Academy of Fine Arts.

Biography
I am a contemporary Ukrainian abstract artist and art historian. I was born on May 16, 1968 in Kiev. The central theme of my work is the image of independent Ukraine, as exemplified by the paintings
"Self-Portrait with Revolution" (2012) and "Portrait of Ukraine: what doesn't destroy you, makes you stronger" (2008-2016).
In 2000, I graduated from the Kyiv State Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.

In 2013 I received the title of Docent at Kherson Pedagogical University.

Since 2021 I became the head of the Department of Design and a university professor of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in Kiev (Interregional Academy of Personnel Management). In 2022 I received a CEEPUS scholarship for the author's lecture course "Dialogue of colors". From 11.04.2022 to 30.06.2022 I work at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. 06.06.2022 I received a scholarship from the Staromiejski House of Culture and the City of Warsaw - organizers of the program of intervention scholarships for artists from Ukraine.
In the years 2000-2022 I оpublished more than 100 scientific publications (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7471-1679) and 4 scientific monographs. So far I have had 12 solo exhibitions (http://www.ivapavelchuk.com/index.php/uk/additional-matherials/video/nuau-kyiv-2018 ) and more than 100 group exhibitions.
