Born May 5, 1946 in Cracow, pioneer of textile installation, painter, photographer, art historian, writer in Polish and English. Translations of her books were published in many countries.
She had more than sixty solo exhibitions, recently at the 59th Venice Art Biennale and at PGS Gallery in Sopot. She participated in more than a hundred group shows and created installations in urban spaces and landscapes around the world. Her works are included in the collections of Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris and Albertina in Vienna, Museum of Art in Lodz and Zachęta National Gallery, National Museums in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan and Kielce, and in public and private collections in Europe, USA, Latin America and Japan, and in the Starak Family Collection in Warsaw.
