In 1983 he was employed at the Artistic Department of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, where he still works as a professor at the Institute of Fine Arts. Since 2012 he has been the head of the Painting Department of I. He has been working in the Institute of Fine Arts in Lublin as a professor.

He mainly practises painting. In his activity he goes beyond the practical, typically creative experience. He is also socially involved in the artistic environment of Lublin. In the years 1993-1996, he served as Vice President of the Lublin District of the Association of Visual Artists and Designers and was a curator of the Eastern Salon of Art several times, member of the Programme Council of the ZPAP Gallery "Pod Pod Podłogą". He received the Medal of the Mayor of Lublin for his artistic achievements in 1996 and 2016.

Winner of several awards and distinctions, scholarship of the Minister of Culture and Art in the years 1986 - 87, 1990 - 91 and the Rector of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University. Winner of the Artistic Award of the Lublin Province in 1994 and 2013.

He organized 56 individual exhibitions and participated in over 150 group exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
