My painting touches many realities. Two of them are: the mystical sphere and the story of a paper hero with a face ending in a beak. Both these realities sometimes overlap and meet to form a coherent whole.
I am particularly interested in materializing the spirituality of light, which often thickens to the consistency of water. Hence the theme of my work, which I named ś w i a t ł ł o s p a d ó w. Their vertical orientation exemplifies order: Creator - light - man. Contemporary man-man is hidden in the form of an enamelled cup, with a rich symbolism for me. Strongly beaten, but in its seeming hardness, it is steadfast.
The paper man, whose beak gives him a somewhat grotesque character, is immersed in the fabricated stories. The characters' names, full of meaning, drag them into poetic adventures, as if on the verge of real life, yet stuck in its essence. Their paper silhouettes convince of the delicacy of the human body. If they have no heads, it is not a lack, it is rather the mystery of the existence of reality beyond those we are given to see".
