Description

Hot news from Lipinki

Fear and anxiety have taken hold of the Żary district.
It is all due to a series of mysterious arsons that have been
occurring since the beginning of the month. Several piles,
stacks and heaps have gone up in smoke. The merciless arsonist
appears to have no connection to the farmers' grievances. They,
in turn, declare that they won't rest until they catch him and
(parts censored) scatter him across the fields.
The volunteer fire brigade in Lipinki has announced recruit-
ment for a new unit.
However, all applicants will first have to undergo a series of
playing-with-fire tests. This is because the fire chief wants to
make sure he doesn't run into a mole among the new intakes.
After the recent embarrassment involving the Poseidon team,
which added fuel to the fire with their clumsiness, the fire
brigade is clearly in need of successes to warm up its image.
Some residents of Lipinki claim that the fire chief is already
burnt out and are calling for his resignation.
Meanwhile, a Committee for the Defence of Agriculture, Na-
ture and Compost has also been formed among the locals.
Their efforts include daytime patrols and designated night
guards keeping watch over the fields.
Volunteers are eager to get involved, but so far, every attempt
to capture the culprit has failed. We will keep you updated
on the case.
