Biography

Sculptor, painter, 3D graphic designer, architect, designer.

In 2014, I graduated with a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Technical University of Lodz. In turn, in 2016 I defended my diploma at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, the main part in the painting studio of Prof. Piotr Stachlewski, and the appendix in the sculpture studio of Dr. Janusz Czumaczenko. Since 2015, I have been an employee of the Institute of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, where I specialize in Virtual Sculpture and Sculpture in Metal. Currently, I am in the process of preparing for the defense of my doctoral dissertation entitled: "Virtual techniques in the sculptural creative process on the example of the sculptural work series Figura Serpentinata". In addition, I teach or have taught 3D and 2D graphics at several other universities, including: the Social Academy of Sciences and the University of Lodz.

In my work I constantly combine experiences from the field of architecture and sculpture. Creating, shaping space and its impact on the surroundings in the perception of the viewer moving through time and space are a constant source of inspiration for me. It can be said that I take a rather scientific or research approach to activities in space, which inevitably places me among the formalists, focused on the "corporeality" of my works. I constantly try to find patterns in time, space and scale, directing the linear transformation of my sculptures and thus the viewer's experience. I believe that every sculpture is a story that needs to be experienced all around and from many directions, it cannot be summarized in one picture. Because if you can, it loses its qualities of three-dimensionality, which distinguish it from painting and printmaking. The aggressive, dynamic forms of my sculptures result from the creative character but also from my fascination with deconstructivist architecture.
