Maciek Zieliński (born 1977)
Born in 1977 in Legnica.
He spent his childhood and school years in Tarnow. After graduating from high school, he began technical studies in Cracow at the AGH University of Science and Technology. After two years, however, he changed his study profile and university. He graduated in graphic design from the Faculty of Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He received his diploma in 2003 in the studio of Prof. Wojciech Regulski.
For many years he was mainly involved in design graphics, working for advertising and interactive agencies and startups. He tried to intersperse commissioned subjects with his own, more artistic projects - two series of digital graphics/collages bordering on surrealism and fantasy were created then.
After more than a decade of working in the advertising/interactive industry, he decided to put aside commercial, digital projects and returned to his own work. For the past few years, he has been working mainly in painting. Trying various techniques, he is gradually developing his favorite way of working which is a combination of collage and acrylic painting.
