About the artist

Marta Słomianowska (born 1968)

She lives and works in Zamość. Since 1988 he has been teaching fine arts, art, history and Polish language at primary and secondary schools.
Painting is her life and passion. She loves colour, is fascinated by structure, values abstraction and realism. Her favourite techniques are oil and dry pastel. She is very close to the Roztocze landscapes: gorges, rivers, country roads, forest glades, old cottages. Recently, however, her works have more frequently feature portraits, especially female ones.

She has taken part in many open-air painting sessions and exhibitions. The artist's works were also presented in 2011, 2015 and 2016 at exhibitions of works by art teachers. In 2015, an individual exhibition was held in Bautzen, Germany, entitled "Women of the World". In 2018, during 39 Zamość Music Days, paintings by Marta Słomianowska were a decoration during Barbara Rabiega's concert "Behind the Mist", which took place in the Concert Hall of the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra in Zamość.
