Sunny Snake travels across Poland

The PKP timetable has been enriched with another holiday
service. According to the railways, in mid-August it was
possible to launch a train service named 'Sunny Snake'. The
peculiar naming has its source in the train's route. This is
because it meanders through all major Polish cities, providing
direct access to the sea for millions of holidaymakers. The
journey, which starts in Zakopane and ends in Kołobrzeg,
takes 18 hours. However, there is no shortage of those will-
ing to make the trip, as PKP has provided travellers with
additional attractions. The train is powered by a renovated
ET-22 locomotive in historical colours.
Refreshments include cakes with marmalade and Regina
orangeade.
And for the biggest railway maniacs, there is the long-await-
ed 'nostalgia wagon' - equipped with faulty thermostats,
self-opening doors and cigarette smoke diffusers. We wish
