Description
Text: "And four great beasts came up out of the sea, different from one another." (Dan 7:3); above, the prophet's name: Daniel. The animals surrounding the text allude to the sculptural decoration of synagogues. In this work, I wanted to juxtapose the decorative style of medieval manuscripts with the full of expressive symbols decor of Eastern European synagogues, which were created a few centuries later.
