ABOUT EXHIBITION
Opening: Wednesday, May 15, from 7-9 pm.The exhibition of works by Monika Krajewska, Izabela Uchman and Agnieszka Żak is an intercultural and interfaith dialogue. An attempt to discover and penetrate the codes common to three religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Each artist operates with a different formal language, they use different techniques. Their impact on viewers is also different. But at the same time, all of them find a common denominator in the dispersed, analytical image of each culture. Sometimes they direct impossible scenarios, play with paradox and make cultural reinterpretations; they create profusion of motifs and restore lost unity and uniformity to archetypal symbols. They try to find answers to the questions: who am I?, where do I come from?, where am I going? The anthropological perspective here appears from the position of the sacred, which, by the way, is close to the earliest sources of art, emerging at its origins from worship.
